Presentation Skills
Public presenting and speaking is an art. Below are some key factors to remember while delivering your presentation. How you say it, is as important as what you say.

  • Eye Contact
    • Your eye contact needs to be on your audience at all times
    • Scan the audience while speaking, looking at every section
  • Use of space
    • Standing still
      • If you have the room to walk around while speaking, then this is the best choice
      • Try to not stand in one spot the whole presentation
  • Fidgeting
    • Do not have change, keys, or anything in your pockets to distract you from speaking
    • Do not play with your hair while presenting
  • Body language
    • Hand positioning
      • Keep them professional and relaxed
      • Try holding a pen while presenting if hand gestures are too much of a problem
    • Stance
      • Feet need to be pointed towards the audience
      • Do not turn your back to the audience
